In recent years, plastic-free life has become the goal of mankind. Because environmental problems have become the focus of social development, climate warming, air pollution, water pollution and other problems are becoming more and more serious, and in recent years, the problem of plastic pollution has attracted people's attention, in order to reduce the pollution of plastic waste, countries have implemented "plastic limit", "plastic ban" and other measures.
Some data indicate that China is the largest producer and consumer of plastics in the world, producing more than 100 million tons of plastic raw materials and more than 60 million tons of plastic products every year. In 2020, China's National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued a new ban on plastic bags. As the national ban plastic schedule is determined, various places have launched a number of ban plastic policy. Does this mean that we are moving towards a plastic-free life, but how far are we going to go?

  The heavy use of plastic
Plastic is a kind of material widely used in daily life. It is not only low cost, but also durable, waterproof and light, which provides great convenience for people's life. It's only been a little more than a hundred years since the advent of plastics, and plastics, and plastic products, are now pervading every aspect of our daily lives and having a profound impact on the way we dress, eat, and live. The plastic ban policy does not prevent people from using plastic altogether. It mainly aims at different categories of disposable plastic products, such as disposable plastic shopping bags, disposable plastic straws, disposable plastic lunch boxes and so on.
Most plastic products are disposable. These plastic products are mostly landfill treatment and not easy to decompose, resulting in a large area of land pollution. Plastic, which accounts for 85 percent of all floating trash, is one of the most serious threats to Marine ecosystems, with fibers and particles found in the digestive systems of large numbers of Marine animals.
Using a set of survey data, Hyde found that the world consumes an average of 1 million plastic bags every minute, and the world consumes 400 million tons of plastic every year. But only 14% of plastic packaging is recycled globally, and only 10% is effectively recycled. And each year, about 8 million tons of plastic waste enters the ocean, all of which would circle the earth 420 times. This is a set of how terrible is the data. The production of these plastic wastes has brought serious harm to Marine life, but also polluted a large area of land resources, and posed a great threat to the ecological environment.
For our human beings, non-standard production, use and disposal of plastics will cause waste of resources and energy, bring ecological environment pollution, increase the pressure on resources and environment, and even affect people's health and safety. The best solution to plastic waste pollution is to ban plastic, limit plastic!

Plastic-free life does not mean eliminating all plastic from our lives, but rather reducing consumption of all unnecessary plastics, avoiding non-biodegradable plastics, reusing and sorting our waste, said Hyde environmental experts. Everyone can start from the small things around us and gradually bring biodegradable products into our lives. Plastic-free life may become a reality.
